Commonly Asked Questions

  • Are the rollers rubbing / on too tight ?
  • Are the rollers wet ?
  • Too much pressure is being applied to the unit causing the transmission clutch to engage.
  • If none of the above apply, there could be a fault with the transmission.
  • Applying TOO much pressure can cause the clutch to engage which allow the rollers to stop turning. However if being used correctly, this could indicate the transmission may be worn and needs to be replaced.
  • This could happen if the customer is moving the machine too quickly over the floor. It would also do this if the roller motor is spinning the wrong way. If the rollers come of when the machine is not moving, it will be motor direction and needs to be sent to a service agent. If it happens when they are moving the machine it could be due to the speed they are pushing it across the surface.
  • Too much pressure on the unit, rollers too dry and pushing and pulling the unit around TOO quickly will cause the rollers to come off.
  • This can be because the rollers were too wet upon first use, and the waste tank is now full. Making sure the rollers are just wet enough without being soaked will prevent this from happening.
  • The device has a motor blockage, e.g. due to excessive pressure on the rollers or through movement into a wall/corner. Switch the device off and on again. The rollers are blocked. Remove the rollers and check if an object has become stuck in the rollers. Check that the rollers are screwed in as far as they will go onto the roller holder. Check if dirt has accumulated in the hair filters in the floor head and remove any dirt present. Check that the hair filters are fitted correctly. For this, remove the hair filters and then fit then back in place.
  • The device is in the 2-minute rinsing process for cleaning the floor head. Wait for about 2 minutes, then rinsing is finished and the display no longer lights up ( in the User Manual see “Floor head cleaning by a rinsing process”).
