Job/Role Characteristics:
Regional Finance Business Partner cum Data Analyst, ASEAN is as an individual contributor role where your role will play an important part in supporting Finance and Business Units to take data-driven actionable decision that supports the ASEAN region’s business strategy. Reporting to the Regional CFO based in Bangkok, Thailand. Besides being the commercial consultant & challenger towards the assigned countries, the incumbent’s role involves in collecting, analyzing, interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for enhancing financial and business performance.
This is how you WOW:
Finance Business Partner:
- Business Partner and internal consultant to the Country Finance Managers and County General Managers to drive process improvement/automation and operational excellence;
- Financial analysis and deep understanding of business performance, especially on profitability and margin analysis;
- Guide subsidiaries with standardized practice to improve business performance and KPIs;
- Challenge ambition level of operational and strategic decisions by making proposals for sales and profitability targets for countries and participating in target setting meetings;
- Challenge budget, forecast and business planning of countries
- Investment projects evaluation;
- Central contact for general financial inquiries from assigned countries and interface between the Sales, Operations and Finance organization
- Support countries to manage cash flow to facilitate payables and investments;
- Other ad hoc projects as directed by top management.
Data Analyst:
- Close collaboration with colleagues from the subsidiaries and partner across business units like Marketing, Sales and Service as well as Finance. Ensure that data is of quality, regularly collected, convert large data of different sources to relevant KPIs via visualized dashboards and reports.
- Evaluate category, price, competitor, or industry trends and form meaningful conclusion to facilitate strategic decisions.
- Communicate the actual data analytics possibilities across the different departments and build up close relationships with them
- Proactive in supporting internal customers’ need by identifying and providing critical metrics and KPIs that allows actionable data driven decisions.
- Ensure there is data best practices. Set guidelines for data quality/control and usage. Ensure compliance on data integrity practice and data governance.
- Data integration from various sources: Collect and evaluate sales transactions, customer databases from CRM systems to have a holistic view of customer behaviors and business insights to better steer decisions from the region to the subsidiaries.
- Analyzing sales performance and identifying opportunities for improvement: Evaluate sales data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for enhancing sales effectiveness and revenue generation.
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis: Gather market insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to inform marketing and sales strategies, ensuring a competitive edge in the market.
- Creating reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations: Generate visually appealing reports and presentations to effectively communicate data-driven insights, recommendations, and strategies to stakeholders for informed decision-making
- Demand generation – communicate needs and findings with the HQ to improve output.
It would be WOW if you would bring in:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in the Big4 in Finance or Accounting with market data management from the financial sector, or MNCs with its own marketing, sales and services
- Bachelors’ degree or higher in relevant Finance, Business, Accounting, Data Analytics or STEM
- SAP FI / CO knowledge preferred
- SAP Analytics for Office / Power BI knowledge
- Strong analytical skills able to predict trends and generate scenarios
- Strong interest in working with financial and business data, demonstrated experience in data management
- Strong attention to detail, highly adaptive with independent mindset and ability to problem-solve
- Excellent interpersonal communicator (written and verbal) with ability to handle cultural diversity, getting buy-in from different stakeholders (relationship skills), and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables
- Self- motivated team player, with the ability to work independently to achieve your targets
- Business fluent in written and spoken English, additional languages skills are a plus
- Confident handling of MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Willingness to travel regionally (approx. 10% - 15%).
