The Promoter
The promoter (the “Promoter”) is Kärcher (U.K.) Limited, a company incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 1350233, whose registered office is at Kärcher House, Brookhill Way, Banbury, Oxon OX16 3ED.
The Competition
The title of the competition is “Thank Your Cleaner Day Makes a Difference Award”.
Nominate your cleaning team for a chance of them winning a £1,000 experience day voucher to use as a group by completing an entry form at www.karcher.co.uk/nominateyourcleaner.
The competition will run from [9.00 am] on 2nd September 2019 (the "Opening Date") to [11.59 pm] on 30th September 2019 (the "Closing Date") inclusive (the “Promotional Period”).
All nominations must be received by the Promoter by no later than 11.59 pm on the Closing Date. All entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
To enter the competition:
Simply complete all fields on the nomination form online www.karcher.co.uk/nominateyourcleaner telling us why you are nominating your cleaning team and why they deserve to win.
This competition is an internet only draw, no other method of entry will be accepted.
The winner will be selected by a panel of judges from a shortlist at the end of the Promotional Period.
No purchase necessary.
The Promoter will not accept any responsibility for competition entries that are lost, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The competition is only open to residents in the UK and the Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over, except:
employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration;
or
members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
automatically generated by computer;
completed by third parties or in bulk;
illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or
incomplete.
You may nominate multiple cleaning teams for the prize however duplicate entries will automatically be disqualified.
The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your entry is delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered or illegible or your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
The Prize
The prize includes one experience day voucher worth £1,000 to be shared amongst the winning team equally.
The prize cannot be split into smaller denominations or distributed to individual members of the winning team.
The prize is subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize. It is non-exchangeable or transferable to another person. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize or any element of it with a prize of equal or greater value.
The Promoter reserves the right to alter, cancel or withdraw this competition at any time without prior notice.
Winner announcement
The Promoter will contact the author of the winning nomination by email no later than 11th October 2019 and using the email address provided with the competition entry.
Authors of the winning nomination must e-mail back (using the email address marketing@karcher.co.uk) telling the Promoter their nominees first names, surnames and contact details.
If the author of the winning nomination fails to respond to the e-mail sent by the Promoter within 30 days, the Promoter reserves the right to choose another nomination by the terms specified by these Regulations.
The Promoter will send the names and counties of the winning team and the author of the winning nomination to anyone who writes within two months after the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the winner and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in condition 1.
Claiming the Prize
The prize winning team will have 90 days from the date of the Promoter’s email to claim the prize by replying to the email with the information requested. If they do not claim the prize by this date, the claim will become invalid.
The winning team should allow up to 30 days after responding to the Promoter’s email to receive confirmation of the prize.
Limitation of Liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Data Protection and Publicity
If you are the author of the winning nomination, you agree that the Promoter may use your name, image and town or county of residence to when announcing the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.
In order to claim the prize, the competition winner must grant permission to the Promoter for them to use their name, image, place of work, town and/or county of residence for any reasonable and related promotional purposes.
General
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
