Global leader in cleaning technology, Kärcher, has entered the Robotic Vacuum category with two innovative wet & dry vacuum cleaners, joining its wide range of indoor home products. In line with Kärcher’s mission to offer smart solutions following the rise of smart tech homes in the UK, the RCV 3 and RCV 5 vacuum cleaners were designed to make everyday life easier.

Available in the brand’s sleek, white colourway, both models are equipped with LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), the highest quality variant of vacuum robot navigation, located on the top of the robot, which enables an extremely precise measurement and detailed mapping of the home.

The range has excellent mapping capabilities, as multiple maps for different levels of the home can be stored within the app. Easy to navigate, the app can also be used to adjust cleaning parameters and pick preferred cleaning tracks, either running next to each other (higher area performance) or overlapping cleaning tracks (Y-shape for highest cleaning results).

For those cleaning up areas which are particularly dusty, special cleaning modes can be created, going over the same area multiple times. Similarly, ‘no go’ zones can also be saved to avoid places that should be out of the robot’s reach. The range also includes a rare wet cleaning option for optimal dust binding on hard surfaces. Finally, for customers wanting to kick start a home clean when out and
about – this can be easily done via the app.

The RCV 5 model boasts additional features including: voice assistance*, auto boost and carpet recognition, where the robot automatically recognizes that it is cleaning a carpet, turns off the wiping function and increases its suction power. The RCV 5 also features a dual laser sensor and a camera, which allow the robot to detect very small objects.

To top all this off, the range features a sensor which prevents the robot from crashing or falling off the stairs, sending a signal flagging an obstacle or a large drop, alerting the robot back to safety. This is to ensure that the robot can do its job effectively and for as long as possible.
