In order to minimise the use of raw materials, we design our machines so that after a long life they can be recycled as far as possible. The recyclability of Kärcher machines is currently at over 90 percent.

Drinking water is precious and conserving it protects natural resources and saves energy for treatment, transport and disposal. Many Kärcher high-pressure cleaners and scrubber driers already satisfy the eco!efficiency standard or have a connectible eco!efficiency mode for the efficient cleaning of the water volume.

In order to reduce our CO₂ footprint, we are constantly looking for ways on all levels of production and in all business areas: through optimised use of materials, energy and water, high recyclability, as well as renewable energy from in-house production.

If there is an art that is efficient, then it is the art of reduction. Lower material consumption through optimised designs is one aspect. Another is the reduction of components. On average Kärcher machines are made of considerably fewer components than comparable competitor models. The resulting lower weight saves not only operating power, but also lots of raw materials and energy in production.

Minimal waste water contamination

It sounds as simple as it is: Water that is not used does not need to be disposed of. At the same time, dirty water should be concentrated in order to relieve sewage treatment plants. The Kärcher system of machine, accessories and cleaning agents is designed to achieve a maximum impact with minimal effort.
